Workplace Drug Testing

In some industries, drug testing is outright required. In NSW this is Policing (NSWPF), Tier 1 and Tier 2 Mining/Quarries/Petroleum Sites (anything that falls under Resources Regulator NSW), Aviation, Rail etc. where fines range from $30,000 to $500,000 and/or improvement/prohibition notices being issued if you do not conduct drug/alcohol testing regularly.

In other industries (Construction, Transport, Warehousing etc.) drug testing is implied as a way to ensure the safety of workers and meet your obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW) s 19. It is not mandatory however if you choose to do it, we can help you.

​

The best practice is oral fluid testing (AS/NZS 4760) as the Fair Work Commission regularly finds that urine testing is invasive and any dismissal from a failed urine test is typically treated as harsh, unreasonable, and/or unjust.

​

Depending on the quantity of workers you want done the price* ranges from $281.60 per worker (1 worker) to $70.96 per worker (60 workers).
