Hair analysis is a test in which a sample of a person’s hair is sent to a NATA accredited laboratory to detect illicit drug use from as recently as 1 month ago to as long as 6 months ago. (we can go further back but it is harder to put a timeframe on it) 

 

We can also look for alcohol metabolites and review alcohol use to see if a person is consuming an excessive amount of alcohol.
