Medical and Clinical Services
 
The medical and clinical services provide women’s health information, advice, counselling and support and treatment for a broad range of women’s health issues.
 
The medical and clinical services are staffed by experienced women doctors with a special interest in women’s health and experienced women’s health nurse counsellors. Nurses provide telephone information, and that the clinical service can provide talks on women's health issues by arrangement.
 
Medical Services include:
  • Pregnancy Testing
  • Emergency Contraception (The morning after pill)
  • Breast Lumps
  • Depression
  • Menopause
  • Menstrual Problems
  • Osteoporosis
  • Pap Smears
  • Sexually Transmissible Infections and Vaginal Infections
  • Abortion
  • Other women’s health issues
 
Clinical Counselling Services
Clinical advice and support is also available by telephone. In addition to the Clinical Support Services and Mental Health Services, WHS offers the CAHP program, a free service for women who have been abused during consultation with a health professional.

Fees can be negotiated based on financial hardship.
 
Creche Facilities
Free creche facilities are available, please let us know us if you will require them.
 
Interpreters and Bilingual Services
WHS staff are happy to use interpreters or bilingual workers.
If an interpreter is required for your group, please discuss this with us at the time of booking.
