The Amanda Young Foundation
What they do
The Amanda Young Foundation was set up in 1998, after the death of 18 year old Amanda Young in 1997 from Meningococcal Disease. We have 3 main objectives; to raise awareness of Meningococcal Disease in the Community and with Health Professionals, to fund Research into the disease and to Develop Young Leaders in the Community. Resources are also available free of charge to parents and Health professionals, including DVD's and symptom-watch fridge magnets.
